After photographing my first wedding entirely on film I sent off the rolls and walked away without seeing a single image. I trusted the process, the light, and everything I felt throughout the day.
And now, the scans are back!!!!!
This wedding was photographed using 35mm and medium format wedding photography. Seeing the images for the first time felt less like reviewing photos and more like stepping back into the day itself.
There’s something about film that holds onto a moment differently. The way it captures color, softness in the highlights, depth in each frame — it doesn’t feel overly polished or perfect. It feels honest, like memories you can return to exactly as they were.
As a photographer, this experience completely shifted the way I see wedding days. Shooting with 35mm and medium format film allowed me to slow down, be more intentional and focus on what was actually happening, rather than trying to capture everything at once.
The 35mm images are filled with movement and emotion — the in between moments, energy, candid interactions that make a wedding day feel alive. The medium format images bring a different kind of depth — more still, more refined, and incredibly timeless. Together, this combination creates a gallery that feels both effortless and elevated.

Looking through this gallery, what stands out most isn’t just how the images look, it’s how they feel.
There’s a presence to them; a stillness in some frames, movement in others, and moments that feel like they could only be captured this way. Film doesn’t try to perfect everything, it preserves it.
This experience solidified something for me. 35mm and medium format wedding photography isn’t just something I want to offer occasionally—it’s something I want to continue building my work around.
Moving forward, I’ll be offering full film wedding coverage for couples who are drawn to this style. This film wedding experience is now available for both local weddings and destination celebrations across the U.S. and worldwide.
Film photography is also available for engagement sessions, elopements, anniversary sessions, and editorial shoots for those who want that same nostalgic, intentional feel in a more intimate setting.
If you’re someone who values emotion over perfection and wants your wedding photos to feel like memories instead of moments staged for the camera, this might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.
