Some love stories just have that “this was meant to be” energy, the kind where two people orbit each other for years before finally landing in the same place at the same time. That was Morgan & Matt.
These two grew up crossing paths at Seneca Falls Country Club, always noticing each other but never quite taking the leap. One tournament… a couple extra cocktails… and finally the truth came out: they’d both been crushing hard for years. After a few more heartfelt conversations, they went on their first date at the Inns of Aurora (where they both used to work), ordered burgers at The Fargo and talked about everything under the sun. On the drive home, Morgan felt comfortable enough to start singing in the car and that’s when they both knew. This was it.
From that night on, seeing each other on the golf course became the best part of every day. They’d look for each other on every hole. And slowly, quietly, beautifully… this whole forever thing began.
Their wedding took place at Clifton Springs Country Club, which couldn’t have been a more fitting backdrop for two people whose story began on the greens.
Morgan wanted everything to feel timeless, clean lines, soft greens, hydrangeas (her absolute fave), and design choices that felt elevated yet meaningful.
Matt added the perfect personal touch with subtle golf-inspired elements woven through their day. It didn’t feel gimmicky or themed, it felt like a love letter to where their story began.
Their first look was one of those moments where the air shifts, quiet, emotional, real. Matt’s face lit up the second he saw her. Morgan looked absolutely radiant, glowing with that “I’m marrying my best friend” joy. The energy between them was soft, grounded and full of excitement.
No rush. No chaos. Just presence.
Their favorite photos even reflect that calm:
Morgan’s favorite — the umbrella shot, soft and cinematic.
Matt’s favorite — the moment he turned and saw her at the first look.
Honestly? You feel their whole love story in those frames.
They’ve learned each other’s quirks, Morgan’s endless lists, Matt’s “let’s leave 10 minutes early” reminders and all the little rhythms that come with building a life together.
But their favorite things about one another?
They’re rooted in support, joy, and emotional safety.
Morgan loves that Matt can make her laugh on her hardest days.
Matt loves that Morgan brings positivity into every room, making everything feel like it will be okay just by being there.
What they looked forward to most?
Getting married. Seeing each other. Dancing.
Nothing complicated, just joy.
Their planner, Rebecca from Eliza Jane Events, brought every detail to life effortlessly. Morgan said planning was overwhelming at times, but spreadsheets and a phenomenal planner made the whole process so much smoother.
If they could change anything?
They wish the day was longer. (The universal wedding-day feeling that even I felt about my day, too!)
Everything about the day had intention, hydrangeas, classic black bridesmaid dresses, timeless florals, soft greens, clean design and a golf course that felt like home.
Morgan also shared something so sweet and transparent: her parents generously gifted them their full wedding budget of around $70k, and she wanted to share that with other couples who may be planning their own celebration.
Their day felt calm, happy, and unmistakably “them.” And photographing two people so present and grounded? An absolute dream.
Morgan found me on Instagram and immediately hoped I was available. From the very beginning, I felt like I was documenting two friends – people who let me in, trusted the process and truly wanted their story told in a way that felt emotional and real.
Their review still melts me:
“It was fantastic. Brittany felt like our friend, helping us through the day and hyping us up.”
