There’s something about The Mansion at Knox Farm that just feels magical in the summertime. The way the sun pours through the trees, the quiet luxury of the grounds, and the way guests wander between the gardens and sailcloth tent, it’s pure, effortless joy. This venue has quickly become one of my favorites because it feels like the perfect blend of timeless elegance and laid back charm, and Alex and Ariel’s wedding day captured that essence so beautifully.
From the moment I first met these two, I knew their day would be something special. Their energy is easy, intentional, and so deeply rooted in kindness, the kind of love that makes everyone around them feel at home. We’d already built such a genuine friendship over time (bonding over our cats, of course 🐾), and being there to document their wedding day felt like celebrating with old friends.
The day began with relaxed morning moments, laughter echoing through the rooms, Fossil watches gifted to the groomsmen, matching bow ties from The Tie Bar, and fresh haircuts all around. The girls sipped champagne while sunlight streamed in, and Ariel looked radiant in her Madi Lane Bridal gown from Heart to Heart Bride. Every little detail was thought through, from the custom charms on her bouquet to the hand crafted invitation suite she designed herself.
Their ceremony took place on the mansion lawn, surrounded by soft floral installations from Tarry Grove that felt romantic, yet modern and full of life. Each member of the wedding party walked down the aisle one by one, having their own little moment in the spotlight before Ariel made her entrance. You could feel the love in the air.
And then… cocktail hour. Guests were greeted with champagne and a custom mocktail option (which I love a good mocktail!), surrounded by personal touches everywhere; monogrammed coasters, fans, matchboxes, and even personalized notes written for every single guest. It was such a beautiful reflection of how much Alex and Ariel care about the people in their lives.
Dinner took place under a glowing sailcloth tent, my dream setup at Knox Farm. The layout, curated by Social Maven Buffalo, was everything you could imagine for a summer garden party. Long tables with candles, pastel florals, and warm golden light filling the space as The Grange served an incredible meal that I swear I will be dreaming about for years. During dinner, the playlist featured each married couple’s first dance song, a sentimental touch that brought everyone to tears.
By the time the dance floor opened, guests were ready. Between the custom koozies, trucker hats, and the absolute vibes coming from Whirlin’ Disc Sound, it was a full-on celebration. Ariel & Alex even changed into a second look, a sleek jacket from The Black Tux paired with “Brush Stroke” Air Jordan 1 Lows and a fun and flirty mini dress for Ariel, perfectly blending style and personality.
I always tell my couples that no two weddings at The Mansion at Knox Farm are ever the same, and that’s what I love most about this venue. It’s a blank canvas that can be transformed into whatever vision feels like you. Alex and Ariel turned it into an elegant summer garden party, timeless, heartfelt, and full of joy.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding day that feels bright, meaningful, and stress-free, I’d love to capture it for you here. The Mansion at Knox Farm is such a beautiful space to bring your vision to life and photographing love stories here truly never gets old.
