The local gastronomy in the Finger Lakes is also so delicious! You have so many options for your Finger Lakes wedding venues too, gorgeous estates with spacious outdoors, twinkling lights, and genuine hospitality.

These wedding locations in the Finger Lakes NY area are particularly gorgeous in autumn, with vibrant foliage that will also add so much color and depth to your wedding photos. But without further ado, here are my favorite places to get married in the Finger Lakes — they were just made for romance! 

The Lakehouse on Canandaigua

A Lakehouse on Canandaigua wedding is ideal for couples seeking a luxury waterfront destination. It’s one of the best wedding venues in the Finger Lakes for large parties, with space for up to 250 guests and 124 beautiful guest rooms.

Saw your vows outdoors, within an immaculate garden setting, before dancing the night away in the Event Barn, a gorgeous timber farm, with vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and lots of possibilities to customize with your own special touches. It’s definitely one of the most popular Finger Lakes barn wedding venues!

Canandaigua Country Club

Fallbrook House, part of the Canandaigua Country Club, is a great choice for a low-key waterfront celebration. They can host up to 150 guests in their stunning barn-inspired reception room, with a minimalist white interior, and I love the relaxed Adirondack chairs and firepits to enjoy on a cool autumn night.

Your Fallbrook House wedding photos will be so bright, airy, and romantic, with plenty of tall trees and lush green lawns, lakefront vistas, and fountains that we can incorporate into your images. 

Hotel Canandaigua

Here you can say your vows next to the serene Canandaigua Lake, then move into the Hotel Candaigua’s elegant ballroom or lakefront tent for your amazing reception. 

This space, which is available year-round, has a Weekend Wedding Package that makes it too easy to plan your celebration here, including a complimentary one-night standard King guest room for the wedding couple. The hotel is part of the Hilton family, so you know your experience will be of the highest standard. 

The Cracker Factory

The Cracker Factory is easily one of the most unique wedding venues in the Finger Lakes NY region! It’s a beautifully renovated industrial factory, today used for weddings, events, and art exhibitions.

With exposed brick, glossy hardwood floors, and whitewashed timber ceilings, a Cracker Factory wedding delivers such a fun, industrial chic vibe, which also transfers beautifully into your wedding photography. The late afternoon light can be so dramatic here too, so we can use the shadows of the window panes and wooden beams to get so creative with your images — you’ll love it!

Sonnenberg Gardens

For a romantic spring or fall wedding, I love Sonnenberg Gardens — it’s so magical when everything is in bloom! With so many intimate gardens for your ceremony, it’s one of the popular small wedding venues in the Finger Lakes NY area. I particularly love the Japanese Garden, Blue and White Garden, and Sub-Rosa Garden, and there’s a wonderful white tent for your reception, complete with chandeliers and hardwood floors.

This space is also a New York State Historic Park and home to a historic mansion — receptions of fewer than 75 guests can be hosted indoors within the gorgeous home. 

The Inn at Taughannock Falls

The Inn at Taughannock Falls is such a romantic wedding venue for large or smaller celebrations. It’s one of the best wedding venues in the Finger Lakes region NY in the autumn months since the fall foliage here is some of the best.

The resort is so beautiful and very close to a waterfall, hence its name — such a fun element to include in your wedding images. You can say your vows outdoors on one of their lawns or beautiful gardens, such a lovely and relaxing place. 

Smaller weddings can host their reception in the Victorian Inn, an amazing fine dining restaurant with incredible cuisine, while larger weddings of up to 300 are perfect for Enchantment, a huge tented space with firepits and lake views. 

Lincoln Hill Farms

Your Lincoln Hill Farms wedding is such a fun choice for a countrywide celebration! This picturesque farm is family-owned and operated, with over 95 acres. 

Say your vows in a dreamy sunflower field, and a unique Silo Space for your reception — you can also dine outdoors, on long rows of tables, featuring locally sourced cuisine and craft beer.

With on-site glamping, rustic chic decor, twinkling outdoor lights, and plenty of farm animals, your wedding will be unforgettable, and definitely a good choice if many of your guests are bringing little ones! 

Young Lion Brewing Company

For a chic, loft-style wedding venue, complete with amazing craft beers, Young Lion Brewing is a top choice. This female-owned brewery hasn’t been around for long, but has already won plenty of awards and offers their upstairs area as a private event and wedding space. 

It’s super stylish, with hardwood floors and huge floor-to-ceiling windows that let the light just stream in! Young Lion Brewing Company wedding photos are so bright, vibrant, and fun, with twinkling lights in the evening and lots of space to customize your venue with florals and styling. 

Wadsworth Homestead

For an elegant, timeless venue rich in history, consider Wadsworth Homestead. It’s a grand country manor home, dating to 1804, complete with elegant gardens for an outside exchange of vows.

Overlooking the Genesee River Valley, the home and grounds are spectacular — we have so many options for your Wadsworth Homestead wedding photos, including the property’s gorgeous wrought iron gate, the traditional interior design, decked out in antiques, stained glass, and priceless furnishings, or the large wraparound veranda. 

There are horses on site too, so everything about this property just feels so romantic and old-fashioned!

Inns of Aurora

The Inns of Aurora is a gorgeous resort and spa that I love for spring and summer weddings since the gardens and outdoor spaces here are so special. It’s a collection of historic inns, rich in color, with impeccable furnishings, many with beautiful porches and yards. 

There’s a gorgeous ceremony area right on the water’s edge, alongside lakeside tents or patios for your reception. I love the wooden dock here, as it’s beautiful for photography. 

The golden sunset light here is truly spectacular, too so your Inns of Aurora wedding images will be vibrant, true to color, and timeless! 

Glenora Falls

There are few landscapes more romantic than a waterfall! That’s why I love the Glenora Falls wedding venue, as it’s a gorgeous historic home…with a huge waterfall in its backyard!

Say your vows with the waterfall as a backdrop — this venue is beautiful and secluded, so you’ll definitely have the space all to yourself as the waterfall is on private property. The home itself offers lovely accommodation for up to ten guests. 

Or, if you’re considering Finger Lakes winery wedding venues, this spot is very close to many wineries, so you could say your vows here and then host a reception nearby at a vineyard. 

Idlwilde Inn

The Idlwilde Inn is a Victorian-era mansion, built in 1892, that’s such a great choice for intimate weddings or elopements. It’s such a charming space, with a huge wraparound porch overlooking the lake. A sunset first look wedding photo shoot here would be so beautiful too! 

You could rent the B&B for exclusive use, exchange vows by the lake, and then celebrate for the weekend with your closest friends and family, a low-key destination wedding that you’ll love. 

Maxfield Inn

A Maxfield Inn wedding is another wonderful choice for couples who love heritage homes! This Classical Revival mansion, with grand white columns, vibrant gardens, and seven traditional B&B style rooms, you can rent out the entire property for your wedding. 

Or, if you’re getting married elsewhere, Maxfield Inn also offers getting ready and photography packages, allowing you to capture gorgeous wedding photos within the historic home. 

This home has a rich connection to the history of the Naples community, so a wedding here really feels like stepping back into the past. 

Morgan Samuels Inn & Venue

I love Morgan Samuels as it feels like you’re in the English countryside! This 19th-century mansion, with its tree-lined entryway, stone bridge, and European-style gardens just evokes romance so well. The mansion itself features ivy-covered stone walls, decadent decor, and lots of antiques, which is really special too. 

You can say your vows anywhere on the property, including under a chestnut tree or in a rose garden, then celebrate into the night in the light-filled Sunroom, on the patio, or within the venue’s tented reception space. Each space can be personalized too, so it’s easy to bring your own style into this space.
