Buffalo Bills Tailgate Proposal

That’s right! The Bills beat The Dolphins 34-31 AND TORI GETS A RING!!!!

Buffalo Bills Tailgate Proposal –

I bet Tori never would have thought she would have a new, sparkly diamond on her finger after she left the house to head towards the Buffalo Bills tailgate that morning.

Quick little back story, Tori & I grew up in the same neighborhood always spending the summer days hanging out so we know each other pretty well. And of course, just like all young adults – we both went off to school but our mothers always kept in touch.

Flash forward to January 2023 – I get a phone call from her mother asking me if I am attending the football game the next Sunday & I say “Of course!” because my boyfriend and I have season tickets. She then proceeds to explain to me that the day has finally come, the day of the proposal! Now mind you, we all knew this was coming just from Rob & Tori’s connection. My mom had even given me their suspected wedding date LAST SUMMER (2022) to pencil in on my calendar. So, when I receive this phone call, I am absolutely honored to capture this special moment for Rob & Tori. Plus, what better way to propose than at a BUFFALO BILLS TAILGATE during 28 degree weather!?! 😉

For me, proposals are exciting but also can be stressful at the same time. It’s all about right place, right time. Once I got into the location, I got in contact with her sister and the rest fell perfectly into place.

I was able grab the reactions of the family who came to surprise her along Rob down on one knee. I will be honest though, I did cry too! There is just something about other people crying whether it be at weddings or with proposals that always pull at my heartstrings. I’m always the photographer crying on the side behind my camera so if you see me… no you didn’t 😉

After the proposal, the tears continued when Tori’s mom surprised her with on-field passes for her and her new fiancé.

I checked in with both Rob & Tori a few days after and asked Rob about their love story & how he knew he wanted to propose and then asked Tori what she was thinking (or not thinking;)) when the surprise was happening. Their responses are as follows:

Tori and I first met while working together. The first time we saw each other outside of work was actually at a Bills tailgate, and I knew she was special. She has been nothing short of perfect. She is caring, understanding, intelligent, loving, and accepting in a way that is absolutely astounding. The love she has for her family, and now for mine, fills me with so much joy. We both knew pretty early on that we had something remarkable. We had already discussed our future together, which included getting married, and exactly how she imagined her perfect proposal to be. Towards the beginning of the Fall 2022 we went looking at engagement rings so she had a better idea of what she was looking for and I of what to get for her. The next step was to get the ring without her knowledge, which I had for about a month before the proposal. My main goal was to surprise her with the absolutely perfect proposal; at a Bills tailgate surrounded by our closest friends and family. I enlisted the help of my future mother-in-law, Jeanette, who was integral in making this plan a reality. I had decided on the date, time, location, and guest list, and we coordinated from there. Jeanette actually managed to get us post-game field passes! I had rehearsed what I wanted to say. But when the time came for me to ask the most important question of my life to the most amazing person I’ve ever met, and seeing her face filled with overflowing happiness, my mind could only manage to pull the words “I love you, I love you so much, will you marry me?” And she said “yes,” and so it was perfect.

Starting the day every thing was the same we got ready for football Sunday like we always do nothing out of the ordinary. We got to the stadium at the same time and parked by the same post marker H4. We set up and settled into a morning of talking eating and drinking but then something was different. It seemed like out of nowhere everyone we loved was there all wearing bills stuff of course. I started to say hello and as i hugged his parents, my siblings, and friends, i got hit with emotions that something was happening. As i turned around and saw rob standing alone i knew right then this was it. I started crying before i could even ask “what’s going on?” He took my hand and got down on one knee and all i felt was loved. surrounded by love with the person i loved the most asking me to spend the rest of my life with him it was the easiest yes of my life. His tears were my tears as my heart felt full. it was truly the most perfect and absolute best day of my life.
